Harley FXR Interest Hits Ten Year High

Harley FXR interest is at a ten year high. Here is the exact claim, so nobody has to squint at a chart.

The FXR Interest Index hit 143.5 in May 2026. That ties August 2017 for the highest month in more than ten years. You have to go back to August 2013 (158.5) to find a higher one.

It was not one lucky month. April through September 2026 averaged 136.9. That is the best April to September in the index, which starts in 2010. 2017 was next at 126.0.

September, the latest full month, read 130.5, up 62% on September 2025 (80.6). October is provisional and sliding, which is normal when riding season winds down.

Fine print: August 2026 had a spike in raw "harley fxr" searches that we flag and trim, so it is not counted in any of this. What drove the jump? The data does not say, and we are not going to guess.
